- The TRFC minis boys teams had a fantastic morning playing away to Listowel Saturday . Well over 60 players at U8s, U10s, + U12s travelled and displayed some wonderful skills. Huge thanks to the coaches and parents for a great morning of rugby!
- Tralee U18’s Girls welcomed Killarney to O Dowd Park for an epic afternoon of girls rugby with huge skill levels on display. Killarney got on the scoreboard early running in two quick tries optimising on opportunities presented. Tralee settled well into the game un phased by being on the back foot and began distributing the ball well leading into some fantastic mauls resulting in the first try for the home team. The forwards performed great direct lines of running with fantastic barrelling while the backs had excellent shape and great line speed and superb tackles were completed by all. Huge congrats to the newest members of the team who have totally embodied the game of rugby and excelled today. Special word of thanks to Harry for reffing, Killarney for travelling and all those who supported the girls on the sideline, special word of mention for the senior ladies who had encouraging words and support
- On Saturday, Tralee's u16 Boys visited Killarney in the Pan Munster League. Two years ago we tasted defeat here, so there was an air of trepidation this time around. Tralee started brightly, and, playing against the wind, largely kept Killarney out of the 22 while scoring 2 tries of our own.
We went to sleep in Q2 and let Killarney back in but a long-range penalty goal steadied the ship.
HT 7 - 15
H2 was tense as we were down to 13 at one stage but stout defence, and a strong contribution from the bench delivered 2 more tries and the victory.
FT Killarney 7 Tralee 27
